Salary    £30,000–£36,000 pa (depending on experience) Pro-rata

In 2022, K&C had 2 Councillors elected in Earls Court and was only 6 votes shy to having a 3rd elected. We also came just 125 swing votes away from electing an additional three councillors in three different wards across the borough.

2026 is our best opportunity yet, to get more hardworking Lib Dems Councillors elected and bring the much-needed change that residents in our borough are demanding.

We’ll be running a strong, targeted campaign against both the Conservative and the Reform Party – and we’re looking for the right Campaign Manager to help lead that fight.

We are looking for a highly skilled Campaign Manager to build on our success and propel us forward as one of the leading local parties in London. We are targeting numerous seats and expect to win in these seats.

You will be expected to lead and manage the campaign, inspire volunteers, write and produce all our printed campaign literature and social media, be proactive in communications through email and our website to all our electorate, and support management of our electoral and membership data. The role offers flexible working hours, location and conditions, although it will require evening and weekend work, particularly during the campaign period.

Key responsibilities

  • Deliver a winning targeted campaign strategy from the ground up
  • Run targeted, data-led operations using Connect, Minivan and voter analysis
  • Produce and distribute powerful Lib Dem literature and digital content
  • Lead our dedicated volunteers – and grow it further
  • Coordinate all aspects of campaign delivery: canvassing, comms, fundraising, GOTV.
  • Ensure rock-solid compliance with electoral law and party procedures
  • Be a leader, a motivator, a problem-solver - and a winner

Essential skills, experience and behaviours

  • Demonstrable experience managing or delivering successful Liberal Democrat election campaigns.
  • Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills
  • Strong working knowledge of Lib Dem campaigning tools and design software (Connect, Affinity Publisher, Targeted Email, Fleet etc.)
  • Understanding of local government and the key issues facing Kensington & Chelsea communities– from housing, security and planning to air quality and equality
  • Strong commitment to Lib Dem values and local grassroots activism.
  • Ability to work flexibly, think strategically, and inspire a team.

Essential skills

  • Experience campaigning in London boroughs or in a complex urban setting
  • Knowledge of the borough’s key political and community stakeholders
  • Good graphic design and content creation skills
  • Familiarity with fundraising, compliance, and GDPR in a campaign context

  5. Shortlisted applicants for interview will be notified by 22nd September 2025, to be invited to interview shortly after. Unsuccessful shortlisted applicants will also be notified.
