Silvertime has applied to turn the former Lloyds Bank opposite Earl’s Court Station into a 24-hour Adult Gaming Centre.

Earl’s Court Road has four gambling venues within 150 metres. Allowing Silvertime to move to a more prominent location and operate 24/7 risks turning the area into a late-night gambling strip and could encourage other venues to apply for round-the-clock gambling licences too.

The site is close to schools, nurseries, hostels and the National Problem Gambling Clinic, and the area already experiences high levels of anti-social behaviour. With no council enforcement or police presence after 11pm, a 24- hour gambling venue would damage our community.

Local residents and your Earl’s Court Liberal Democrat councillors are working hard to revive Earl’s Court Road and attract better businesses. A 24/7 gambling centre in such a prominent location would undermine those efforts and threaten wider investment in the area.
