Our Councillor Andrew Lomas presented the petition to protect the rights of EU Citizens living in the borough at the RBKC Council meeting on January 25th, and we filmed his speech. You can see it here:
The signatures were collected outside High Street Kensington tube station. It was freezing but that did not stop us! On the contrary, a lot of determination, dozens of volunteers and hundreds of people eager to sign our petition, meant we had an exciting day!
As Cllr Lomas states in his speech, we call on the Council to lobby the government at the highest levels to ensure EU Nationals can continue to call this borough their home. They are our neighbours and friends, our colleagues and partners.
We will continue to fight for an open, tolerant and united Britain, even at the local level. Come join us!
